An Artistic Photograph of a Small Colony of Parktown Prawns, Discovered After Moving a Big Pot-Plant Out of the Way

Parktown Prawns. They’re as much a symbol of Johannesburg as the Hillbrow Tower.
Except, people don’t usually jump into the air, screaming, their eyes widening, their fingers pointing, when they come across the Hillbrow Tower in their gardens.
Be nice to Parktown Prawns. They are vital to our suburban ecosystem, and they do a very good job of…well, making people scream. Which is a very Johannesburg thing to be good at, you have to admit.
*Don’t worry, the Prawns are safe. I think they’ve moved to the bottom of the garden, somewhere in the vinicinty of the Rain Spiders.
